Question: How do I improve my sound? Answer:
Ok, first, look at your mouthpiece. If it resembles a hole drilled in
aluminum foil, then buy a good bach C-cup mouthpiece. Otherwise, if you
don't know what you're doing, then you will sound BAD. Next, look at your
trumpet. Does it have dents? Fix them at your local repair shop. Does
it have black stuff all over it? Use a cool thing we call a polishing
cloth. (Well it won't make you sound better, but it will look a hell of
a lot nicer). Next, check out your warmup: If it's not Stamp, IT'S CRAP!
It'll get your air moving. So, do check out those things, and then PRACTICE!
